For many years, Rapunzel has been imprisoned in this cold, secluded tower - her only access to the outside world a single window; her only companion, a haggard witch. Then the Prince found her. And now, as the evening begins to close in, and the cool noght breezes waft through the forest, the girl curls up on the tower ledge and patiently awaits a visit from her lover.
On the back, it reads (in German): "The Grimm's Fairy Tale Collection painted by Charles Gehm for the city of Hanau, German Federal Republic, birthplace of the Brothers Grimm, in commemoration of the two hundredth anniversary of their birth." Also included on the back of the plate: the company logo for Konigszelt Bayern, the Seal of the City of Hanau, and the Seal (profiles) of the Brothers Grimm.
