The Student is the title of this plate, issued in 1979 by the Norman Rockwell Museum.

It features a very studious young man (high school?) typing out a term paper or report, using one finger on an old manual typewriter. Shoes off, papers everywhere, light shade askew, snack uneaten on his desk - he has clearly ben WORKING on this for some time. Mom and Dad, dressed for bed, look in at the door, and his dog is asleep at his feet.

Signed NORMAN ROCKWELL on the front of the plate. On the back, it reads: "As Certified by the Norman Rockwell Museum, from a strictly limited edition of 9,900"  (VERY low for any Rockwell collectable item.)
