University of Iowa Plates by Wedgwood

Wedgwood issued a set of twelve College Plates for the University 0f Iowa in 1933, transfer printed in blue on a 10.5 inch diameter Queensware (earthenware) plate.  The border design was created especially for this series; it features the University Seal at the top, and incorporates wheat, corn and a variety of other agricultural products.  Excellent condition - no chips, cracks, or repairs.  These plates are marked on the back":  FIRST EDITION 1933.
