Harvard University Plates 1941

Wedgwood issued a set of College Plates for the Harvard University in 1927, the first of many such "sets" of college plates produced by Wedgwood.  They proved so popular with Alumni that Harvard commissioned several subsequent sets of plates, including this set issued in 1941. 12 different views, transfer printed in red on a 10.25 inch diameter Queensware (earthenware) plate, with a fruit and flower border adapted from a c.1820 Staffordshire pattern.  

All plates were produced by Wedgwood and are  in excellent condition.
